POSTER ART

During the Cold Archive perfume project (https://namenotfound0.wordpress.com/2021/03/04/fashion-marketing-project/) I had to find a way to procrastinate that was somewhat productive, so I made a list of things I wanted to do for a while but hadn’t gotten around to doing; and one of them was putting posters up in the street.

I started toying with the idea since I received feedback from my drawings saying that they could be printed on t-shirts etc. And when i did the invasion of kingston brief (https://namenotfound0.wordpress.com/2020/10/01/invasion-of-kingston/) I really enjoyed the process of printing something and putting it up in the street.

So I decided to digitalize some drawings and tweak them to be printable. I also swore that none of the posters would be monochrome, I would use color contrast and combination to make them pop out. I also thought of taking into account the colours of the surroundings so that they would blend in better. I put up around 20 of them. These were the results:

I obviously had a lot of fun in the process, going around town and finding your works is the main appeal of any street art. I will definitely keep developing this further in some sort of way. Thanks for reading.
