Hi! I’m Pablo and this is what I do
My name is Pablo de Juan and I’m a second year Spanish student in Creative and Cultural Industries, on Kingston University (London).
With my work I try to reflect what’s inside of me and how I experience the world around me. I combine a deep feeling of attachment with my mediterranean roots, whose motifs date back thousands of years, with my child-like fascination with the modern world and the possibilities that it offers. My intention is to always create works that are expressive and artistic while being functional and commercially viable.
My process consists on understanding and integrating the given brief, creating different aspects of the project with intuition and passion, and putting them all together with rationality and close attention to detail. Being on the beginning of my artistic career, I am still experimenting with different mediums; I am most comfortable creating in audiovisual formats although this might change in the future.
Most importantly I research my culture’s past and present, what has prevailed and what has been lost, to enrich and legitimise my works; aside from modern influences that give it shape.
I also have a solo music project called “Nowhere to go but Everywhere“.
